Seed choices backed by local knowledge

When it comes to seed, Legacy Cooperative has top brands supported by data and local knowledge to direct purchasing decisions.

Our Answer Plot is located east of Cando, ND. We hold an annual event at that location so you can see for yourself how various hybrids and varieties perform when put to the test.

We also gather information from plots grown by our customers throughout our territory. We use this data to help growers make selections and determine whether a new number is right for their acres.

Services

  • We keep quantities of seed on hand as best we can but connect with us in the fall and winter so you’re ready to go when needed.
  • We offer bulk seed, and most soybeans and wheat are sold this way.
  • We can deliver to your farm, or you can pick it up from one of our many locations.
  • Protect your investment with seed treatment. We have treaters at five locations for soybeans and three for wheat.

Protect crops from weeds, pests and disease

The crop protection landscape is constantly changing, which is why it pays to turn to Legacy Cooperative. Our knowledgeable people are educated on the latest product developments and regulatory requirements, so they can confidently make the best recommendations for your operation.

We visit with you to understand what you are trying to accomplish. Once we have that understanding, we’ll often walk your fields to get a first-hand look at the environment. We then make recommendations to protect against weeds, insects and disease. We work with all major manufacturers, so we can get the best product for your need. We can custom apply the treatment, or you can use your equipment to make the application. Our eight crop protection warehouses are located through our territory to ensure we have product on hand when you need it. We carry bulk glufosinate and glyphosate, as well as Winfield adjuvants.

Nutrients for healthy crops

With storage facilities across our territory and 10 anhydrous ammonia plants, we’ve got your needs covered for fertilizer. Some features include:

  • All anhydrous plants have nurse tanks you can use free of charge. We also offer anhydrous delivery.
  • All anhydrous plants are capable of injecting nitrogen stabilizers.
  • We operate seven dry fertilizer plants – two have large towers and the rest are vertical blenders.
  • The speed of getting from tower to a truckload is only a couple of minutes.
  • We unload unit trains of fertilizer at our plant at Bisbee. This helps keep costs competitive and allows us to keep more supply on hand and distributed to other locations.
  • We offer soil testing, variable rate maps, and more to make sure we get the product where it needs to be.

Custom Application

With seven sprayers, ten floaters, and all supporting equipment, we’ve got the equipment to do the job when you need it done.

All equipment is variable-rate capable, and we have some machines with twin bins to pull product out of each on the go. We do some variable-rate prescriptions, and we work with crop consultants to execute prescriptions as well.

Our people are certified, commercial applicators, who are meticulous on the job. They treat each field as if it were their own, and they are as cautious as possible for the safety of people, the environment, and neighboring fields.

Ask us about our custom application services. Rest assured, you’ll get responsive, timely service.

When you need it, we have access to three aerial applicators across our geography to protect your crops.
